Philippines Against Disasters

    The Philippines a country that frequently faces natural disasters like flood, typhoons, earthquake, and landslide. These disasters causes a lot of destruction to homes, roads, and communities mostly in provinces. The reason of this is because the Philippines in the Pacific Ring of Fire. The warm ocean waters also fuel the intensity of these storms. Deforestation also, cutting down too many trees and poor land use can make floods and landslides worse. Because of these, the Philippines is often hit by intense disasters.

 

    The countrymen has responded to there natural calamities by applying the measures—safety— to remain safe. Early warning systems (EWS) have been developed by the government to notify the people in advance of a disaster. In addition, they build more strong roads and buildings that can stand during the disaster. Communities and schools are receiving emergency preparedness and response training. Reserve teams are also trained to respond quickly and help those affected by disasters.


     The Philippines still has a lot of difficulties in coping with natural calamities in spite of their efforts. It is challenging to construct enough robust infrastructure and provide resources for everyone due to lack of funds. It might be challenging to coordinate between many government entities, which slows down the response. Because they are hard to attain, remote places frequently receive assistance too late. Furthermore, it takes time to recover after a disaster, which causes extended periods of hardship in some areas.
